What is Geographic Atrophy?

Geographic atrophy (GA) is a chronic progressive degeneration of the macula, as part of late-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD). A typical patient would see a blurry spot in the central area of his vision, forcing him to use his periphery vision instead. This educational animation is designed to have all the information displayed at the center of the video frame and morphing one graphic to another, making it easier for people who can use only part of his vision to watch.
